I have pins, but I don't trade them. If you are going to enjoy a peaceful day at a Disney park, leave then pins at home and leave them there.
I've traded with the pin traders at DLR, there is only one who we automatically avoid as he always wants you to give him 2 pins for one of his  it is easier to just go find a fair trade with someone else ;)
The CMs are where you can have more fun trading- I always say hello and ask them how their day is- and I've been lucky enough to find really cool pins
on the CMs lanyards-one from Paris and supposedly gold-plated! :)

Why are people down on zookeepers? Yes, there was a time when animals were collected in frankly barbaric ways, and the cages they were kept in were worse. These days zoos go out of their way to make the exhibits as close to the natural habitat as possible, and include diets that are more like what the animals ate in the wild, plus they provide stimulation for the animals. They also have captive breeding programs, which is important as habitat is rapidly being lost to development and poaching. There are several species of animals that would be extinct by now if it weren't for zoos. Furthermore, zoos educate people about animals and the role they play in nature.

Why is PETA so determined to cause extinction by shutting down zoos? Bad enough their real agenda is to keep people from owning even a dog or cat, but they shoot themselves in the foot so often they don't deserve any media attention. One guy, called "the vegan streaker" in Holland, or the Netherlands if you prefer, was arrested recently when he tried to assassinate Queen Beatrix because she wears furs.

And if veganism is the perfect, healthy diet, why did Linda McCartney, a vegan, die of breast cancer? If it's as healthy as they claim it is, she shouldn't have gotten cancer. And I'm sure she wasn't the only one.

Same here, I have all of mine on thoes that require the allen wrench...in fact i use thoes for all my pins just because I don't trust the rubber mickey pin backs.

One time an off-duty Monorail Pilot wanted to trade with me (I had my Monorail lanyard on me) but I forgot the allen wrench in the room and I felt so bad :(

BW,

It is good to see you on here again. The tips that you and others on this board gave me allowed my family and I to have one of the most wonderfull first family vactions. When I ran into you at the TTC you were great to talk to and still had even more advice for me to help give my family that "magical" experience. Because of that first awesome experience that you and all of the other CM's on this site helped provide we are on our way to the world again in December.

I too work with "people" everyday and run in to my fair share of assholes sometimes I find myself hating people in general due to the conduct of just a few. I could never imagine nor would I want to know what you and your fellow CM's are going thru due to this loss. I am not sure if this is apropriate and if it is not, I am sorry. But I just want to thank you and re-assure you that for every Ass you deal with there are thousands more people out there that truly apreciate you and your team. Every time we spoke or I read your posts I could tell that you loved making people happy and in turn it made you happy. I hope you still have or regain that happiness. I am sure it will never be the "same". But Thank-you.

I am sorry you have to deal with these "people" and I wish you the best.

If Kermit had been on the platform and heard the SGs comments, he might have responded thusly:

Do you remember when PETA had written to Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream about the abuse of dairy cows and that they should make their ice cream with human breast milk? Makes you wonder what exactly is their agenda. Fine, if it's "animal abuse" to use cow milk, then what is it to use human milk? They are willing to degrade women to animal status to benefit of their cause.

Me: Thank you, sir, for your f*cking concern for our loss. Move along, now.

At this point, the SG was beaming at me, and I could see what was coming next.

Me: But before you go, I can see what you're about to do. My name is Big, Big Wallaby, in fact, from X-Town, Y-State, which is just outside of Z-City. You will find my managers crawling all over the Magic Kingdom and TTC monorail platforms. Please, let them know what I just said to you, and why I said it. There is a good chance they will thank you by revoking your tickets.

His wife smacked him upside the head, pulled him away from me, and apologized for his conduct. A bunch of people on the platform gathered around, and I thought there might be a mob killing right there in front of me. Thankfully, the guy left, and the others who heard the exchange and gathered around offered their support and condolences to myself and the other person working the platform. I shortly called a manager, who forgave all, asking that I simply not repeat that one particular word in future incidents.
BW my Friend, you are showing superhuman restraint in the face of complete and utter morons.

I know that your handling of them will stick in my memory, as an example of pure strength of character.

Your managers support of all the pilots at this time is very reassuring. I do hope that the other pilots get the same steadfast backup that you have. Thank You.

Thank You, I may take you up on that someday ;)
But you don't owe me!
CMs have been the ones kind to me, something I'll not forget :)
