Question about Line Jumpers/cutters
Re: Question about Line Jumpers/cutters
Big Wallaby,
The water is ok at Disneyland. All I know in Toontown, the drinking fountain out there has cold water and tastes better than Dasani.
But again, I bring in my own water and drink it. Aquafina is nice. :)

I've lived in a few different parts of Orange County, CA as well as Los Angeles County, and let me tell you, there are differences in water quality. San Fernando Valley--good; Azusa--very good; El Toro/Lake Forest--haven't been there since '80, but I remember the water there was good. Anaheim--okay. Orange--good; current location--okay; Fullerton--YUCK! I was housesitting at my sister's bosses' place over Christmas week, and I drank mainly soda they left for me or water I provided. They're in Fullerton. I couldn't believe the water was so bad! How do you politely tell people they need a water filter? They're attorneys; it's not like they can't afford it!

You don't like chunky style water? :D:

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Thanks for the warning. I will stay away from fullerton. The chunky water sounds bad.
A few years ago I went to the MK. I drank out of the drinking fountains. My friends were grossed out.
Last Sept when I was at the MK with my sister and our friend from high school, we all stoped at my cousin's house. They had gone food shopping and had our food for our week's stay. Nestle had some bottle water that came out. Talk about gross flavor and after flavor. We did drink it quite quickly and then bought water at nearby stores.
Now I have a SG trick moment. I came to Disneyland the other day. I was people watching. I saw a SG family jump trash cans into the Mark Twain dock area around 5:00 pm. That area was closed because of Fantasmic! Security came into the area and escourted them out of the area. If there are trash cans blocking that area...You stay out of there!!!

Re: Question about Line Jumpers/cutters
Over the last two years, I've realized how lucky I was in Portland to have the water they do out there. It never comes in with any funny smells because it's virgin unfiltered rain water straight from the Pacific Ocean. It's only gone over about 50 miles of uninhabited land at the collection point, the Bull Run Reservoir. As it goes into the city's pipes, they put one part per million chlorine to kill anything in the water, and one part per million amonia to neutralize the taste of the chlorine. Beyond that, there's no flouride, nothing else to provide a funky taste.
There's even a company that markets the water... they collect it themselves outside Newberg. Oregon Rain - http://www.oregon-rain.com/
I love the stuff.
Ooh, and by the numbers, here's what's in it when tested, right out of the bottle (scroll down): http://www.finewaters.com/Bottled_Water ... n_Rain.asp
And if you look at that second site, no. I don't do pairings of bottled water with food. That site does take it just a wee bit way too far.

Re: Question about Line Jumpers/cutters
The nastiest bottled water ever has to be Publix store brand, followed Evian. Give me good old Zephyrhills any day. Mostly I just drink Kissimmee tap water run through a Pur sink filter. Before we lived in FL, I could always tell WDW water by its distinctive smell (didn't mind drinking it, but definitely different than Chicago water). Now I don't notice a thing, and when I return back to Chicago their city water tastes like drinking a bottle of bleach.

I have always had Orlando water and do not find it bad at all... I guess I am just immune. It is very rich in minerals.

Re: Question about Line Jumpers/cutters
I've had Orlando water my whole life (A rare Orlandonite!) and until I moved out to Groveland and lived off a well that was like a billion feet deep, I never thought twice about Orlando water.
Well, I went back a couple of weeks ago and can you say CHLORINE. Pyyyuuuccck!
Zephyrhills HANDS DOWN is the BEST!

"So, do you like, get tickets for free because you live in Orlando?"
"Yes, sir! It's like the welfare office but you have to have Mickey tattooed on your left calve to prove your identity"
"Did it hurt?... Let me see it!"

Re: Question about Line Jumpers/cutters
Reminds me of the day I was had gone out to get some bottles of water for Ralph and Susi, when a guest saw me carrying the flat of bottles, and commented loudly how she hates Zephyrhills, how she can see the sediment in the water.
Unfortunately, I was not the one who heard her, or it would have been fun. Well, for me, anyway.
Some people just have to be above the rest of us in their own mind...
