I told mom and she said that Eartha Kitt led a full life and was a great performer. I agree as she was quite a character and a blessing to get to see her perform.

I agree with your mom. And to cap off a fine career as an entertainer with a delicious performance as a Disney villain? Priceless. (I have a soft spot for Emperor's New Groove.)

RIP, Yzma/Eartha.

*sighs, and watches Emperor's New Groove in memory*

Farewell, Eartha Mae. You will always be remembered.

Careless Love

One of her first hits was this Turkish song.
Uska Dara-Oh ! Those Turks by Eartha Kitt in 1953

African Lullaby sung in English and Swahili. She learned to sing in many languages.

A hilarious performance by her on What's My Line about 1952 or 1953

Dang straight! At least Julies Newmar is still with us, though I still remember her not only as Catwoman but as "Stupefyin' Jones"

I was flipping through the dial and landed on an old episode of Twilight Zone. Julie Newmar was playing the devil. What a babe!
