Actually, I've spent more time in San Diego than I have Los Angeles.
However, I spent all of 25 minutes in Tijuana and that was enough for me. I'll be back.

Don't forget Tijuana!

Summer of 1980 was my last TJ trip and I ate at Woolworths. Go do shopping in the Garment District. I can get you a tour of the homeless mission and skid row. Dice art deco and old buildings down town. The library is awesome and shuttles are cheap. I have never been to the tar pits and mom went way back long before she was married.
How about Magic Mountain, I have not been there in about 20 years. Water skiing and surfing are some possibilities.

Apparently. Per the news there's a lot more bodies left on the streets.

I would not recommend Tijuana, or ANY part of Mexico right now.

Nope. I have read too many bad stories. And especially Americans should be very wary of going there right now.

Have you ever noticed that whenever things are at their worst in certain areas of the world, that's when you're bound to see ads on T.V., etc. urging people to take vacations there? Somehow I don't think the U.s. tourist industry is writing those ads....Zero Population Growth, maybe?

I have a question for Wallaby, et al. How come you guys aren't flying into Orange County (John Wayne) airport? I've read it's close to Anaheim and much easier to navigate than LAX. Is the airfare outrageous?
We're looking at a trip to DL in April and Travelocity's FareWatcher had a popup of $314+ from our little Pensacola airport. Surely there would be a good fare available from MCO. Or not??
West coasters - hopefully we'll have a chance to meet up with some of you between April 25-28th. Will provide more details at a later date. Got to finalize plans first.
