If he's doing his job right, and if his knees can handle it, you should be able to meet him crouching down in the sail, welcoming Explorers aboard the sub, asking them to slide all the way down to the fore or aft of the sub, and reminding SG's that the Floatation Devices are not to be used as seat cushions.

And yes, you'll have SG's ask why there are Flotation Devices on the submarine.

Well, just an update for you.

My traning is going well, there are some things that I'm having to get used to (the whole working outdoors thing, for one, and Grouping - whoever came up with the concept should be shamed loudly and publically).

CDS.....let's say my opinions on that system have changed quickly and rapidly when I had to spend 2 minutes trying to figure out how to clock out for Lunch .

That's it for now, just a little thing to interest you somewhat, lol.

CDS, the Crappy Deployment System. Gotta hate it.

Clock out for lunch? Over here we get the slip bumping us to break and we just go. No reason to go to the CDS terminal until our break is over and it is time to get a new assignment as CDS shows us at break when it gives the assignment to the person doing the bumping (there is some time built in so the break hopefully doesn't start until after you get the slip and are on your way). CDS automatically decides which break is your lunch break and doesn't pay you for it. The only time we clock out is at the end of our shift when it is time to go home.

It's a new law here in California, companies have to provide specific proof of when an Employee takes their Lunch Period.

We used to do the same thing as Florida (CDS/Leads decide which break period is Lunch, make it 30 minutes long and don't pay the CM for that period, with actually clocking in and out being optional for those using Time Clocks, and not available for CDS CMs).

Now we have to clock out and clock back in 30 minutes later (both for CMs using CDS and CMs using Time Clocks) for lunches, and the specific clock times show up when we check Workbrain.

Actually spent two shifts on inside rotation, and didn't drive once.

My answer?

"How many? 5? That's 5 on row 4. How many? 7? *counts on fingers in front of all guests* That's 12 on row four. How many? 6? That's 18 on row 4..."

And so on. Guests got a kick out of it....my energy level is about the same level as your trainer *I was referred to as his twin from time to time*...and my stager always knew how many people were in a Row.

And there aren't any weird half seats that I can recall in the subs...they're all the same size.

Yes, I have been signed off, and actually worked my first shift already. It's...different from Foods, to say the least lol.

No major SGTs....yet, other than the sub full of Asian Tourists who spent the entire trip taking Flash pictures of Glass (which is fairly interesting to watch from on up high. It creates a mini light show in the water, lol.)
