I'm too young to have seen the Carol Burnett Show, but my grandfather used to show it to my brother and I on VHS tape (because we had a tendancy as children to loose interest in Laural and Hardy pretty fast, them being silent.) I used to love watching those tapes. They don't make shows like that these days in America, at least not that I ever saw. There's the Catherine Tate show, but that's BBC.
Sad to hear that Mr. Korman has passed. It's sad that the entertainment world has lost a valuable jewel in the crown of classic comedy.

Ummm, Laural and Hardy were not silent, they just did a lot of sight gags and didn't rely so much on dialog!
(I still remember the dancing female gorilla in the Tutu!!)

I love the Three Stooges! Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk! Laurel and Hardy were funny, too, but their comedy shorts were a little slow-paced.

The difference between men and women is, women get Beauty And The Beast; men get The Three Stooges.

Woobwoobwoobwoobwoobwoob. Sorry, just had to say that.
I didn't like the Three Stooges much from what I've seen, but the hubby loves them in It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. The camera panned across the Stooges slowly and they just stood there, in firefighters uniforms. He liked the Implied Mayhem that that scene showed- made it funnier than what would have happened if they'd been moving around.

I'm sorry your mom has two, I'm sure the doctor is monitoring her frequently with ultrasound.
Actually, they use a CAT scan, and they do them every couple of years--I don't know how much her Medicare covers, so she has them as infrequently as possible. She can't have a stent put in because it's up too high, and with her COPD she can't have the surgery.

oooops, I forgot that CAT scans were probably more diagnostic-but if she can only have them infrequently because of cost, just wondering if ultrasound would be more affordable/convenient?
