Maybe this is why ODV new hires suck...

This is the place to tell us about the stupid things fellow employees can do.

Maybe this is why ODV new hires suck...

Post by Raine » Sun May 04, 2003 2:24 am

Now that I am offically known as the henious b*tch around vending, let me share my reasoning of why our new trainers suck.

*this past weekend...*

Me: Close at 9 for the fireworks.
Trainer: I can't, I was told by the PA trainer to close at 10.
Me: Yeah that's nice, I was told by management to close you at 9 because of the fireworks, it's a safety hazard to have you open during them...
Trainer: I'm sorry I'll have to hear that from management.

****around 930, the area by toontown all roped off and there is no access to the popcorn wagon****

Me: why are you still here?
Trainer: I was told by the training lead not to close until 10...but I do see your point about not being able to sell....

**I won't go into any more details than that, but I did hope the wagon would catch on fire...**

Me: "Yeah, I just made a crap load of money today!" Gadget: "You mean 'crud load.' Me: Yeah, sure whatever.

 what the hell! How can you be so stupid? Heh well don't answer that.

My friend who works stores did Gag Factory and she said that during the fireworks it's kinda scary back there cuz it basically like a fallout shelter and you're watching fire fall from the sky hee hee.

I can't imagine someone stupid...err crazy enough to be outside in toontown during the fireworks but whatever

HERE I AM!!! Man, you don't know how cool it is! Of course, since I work with pyro nowadays (and did some back then too), I knew how to do it and not completely risk my neck. Let's just say I like things that go BOOM!!!

One of my fellow CMs did something kinda like that to me once. I just started my shift.. and the lead told me to go tell her to go ahead and walk in on her break and that I'll take over her position.

Most would be like "yay! break!" but she says something like "Are you sure? Who told you that?"

Yes. You know me. I like to make up random assignments for myself and kick others out of their spots. lol

Do you mean trainER or trainEE. Because it's stupid either way -- working anywhere thats affected by pyro you learn REALLY fast that you need to be gone for pyro. Not to mention, in this case, toontoon is CLOSED because it becomes a freaking LAUNCH SITE for some of the smaller pyro effects. But if you were serious and this guy was a trainER.....how the hell did he make it that far and be that stupid??

hmm, never been IN toontown per say, however, i've watched from the train station while we were 101, or during normal op, only not the whole show. i'd have to say, i was oh with the notion of the launch bay being say no more the 1000ft away, maybe more or less hard to tel, however i was cool with my proximity, until of course, one misfired, and exploded quite near to the ground, but those ones that fire from the hill fecade are quite impressive.
