Wow! I bet it was not pretty! I feel sorry for the other kids who had to miss out because of the bad ones- but I guess that's one way to make sure that everybody gets the message! Who knows what would have happened if they'd let those rival kids in the park. . .
Good for security and Disney for standing their ground!

And you know that at Knott's if that had happened, the dumbass managers would just sit there and not do anything unless and until they got a bazillion complaints from guests--and even then, they'd probably downplay it or blame the guests for it somehow. I mean, if they can blame a guest for a broken neck....

It WAS their own fault! If they hadn't brought their neck into the park in the first place it wouldn't have been broken, now would it?

Thank You, I was beginning to feel a little like an odd ball. I did find the Gradnight kids much, much better behave than what I expected. In fact at times they were better than regular SG. :dropmouth They were certainly faster than regular guest.

For the most part they are well behaved, not all teenagers are hooligans. The problem is, when they mess up, they really mess up! One year it was kicking over a volcano in IASW. Another year I heard they slipped out of their Snow White Mine Cart and took inappropriate pictures in Snow White with an IZone and strung them all over the ride.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

At our track talks the next night our managers briefed us on the incident and told use they were adding ride-throughs to our rotations so that we could keep a better eye on the rides.
The next year they knocked over Wendy on the bed, and she was 'spread eagle' for all to see. One kid got tazed by pooh's playful spot, I hear the burn marks are still on one of the benches from when the officer missed the first time. This year was NOT bad at all. The chaperons and non-regular MK CMs and event staff were the worst for jumping fireworks ropes. We had ridethru positions, but consolidatedpooh and snow for the last 3 nights of GN and made pan ridethru what you do right before break (do one ridethrough then go on a break).

Ah Grad Nights. The best way to get to know how smart our future generation is. It is amazing to me how kids can ask questions to the CMs but not actually stay there any longer than 2 seconds to hear the answer.

In year's previous to 2006, I am guessing that Kodak used to give the kids free photos. In 2006, Photopass took over and there was no longer a free photo opportunity. So the number one question from our graduating class of 2006 was
(verbatim) "Where the free photo at?" Usually said in a loud angry tone of voice.

I took a picture of a few girls once, (yes I am a Photopass photographer), suddenly a few men joined in for the photo. When the photo was taken, the girls stayed and the guys left. I asked the girls if they knew the guys..."No." They took the Photopass card but did not take another picture of just themselves. yeah that makes sense to me.

Mitzi: Ooh who are them cute guys with you in the photo?
Tina: Those were our dates and are not from here.

You can do a lot with that picture like guys that picked them up. Girls need little to start spinning tall tales, lol.

I'm actually a Grad Night alumni...I went in 1986. Even back in those days, if one kid messed up (and it was only Seniors - I couldn't even take my Sophmore girlfriend) the ENTIRE SCHOOL got sent home, and could even be banned. Our rival school (not really rival, but as close as we got) was banned for a while when some of the kids thought it would be funny to throw Mickey in one of the streams around the hub (if I remember correctly, they didn't have as many handlers back then, and Mickey was down near the old Swan Boat docks). They were banned for, if I remember correctly, three years.

As for Night of Oy, I've heard too many stories. Many churches in my area no longer take buses of parishioners like they used to.
