That is like when I listen to radio (only in the car now). I am always picking apart the spiels between songs, the music segues, the *clock* where each component (song, commercial, Public Service Announcement, Live Mic break, etc...etc...) of the program fits in the hour. I cannot listen to radio anymore and enjoy it, unless it is background and I am not paying that close attention or it is talk radio and I listen for a different reasson, to get information and hear opinions. I have done most every job at a radio station except engineer and can pretty much predict programming these days. It's boring to me.Cranbiz wrote:In my case, I'm finding myself being very picky about show quality (or lack of it) when I go to the parks. Lack of repairs, peeling paint, broken concrete, etc.
I still love going, but please don't hand me the BS line about caring about show quality. You don't, because if you did, I would not see these things when I visit as a guest.
So I don't know now if I want to work at WDW. I don't know that I want my opinion of the magic to change. I READ about what happens backstage and how some things suck and how it is not all magic and Pixie Dust like everyone thinks, but it is not the same unless you are experiencing it. I am not sure if I want to be that hypercritical of the Parks when I go to enjoy them. And I am like that. I pick apart every sequence and bit on the radio, so it probably would happen on my days off in the Parks.
Maybe I should work elsewhere, like Sea World and save the magic for Disney :p: I would not mind working at Discovery Cove! I love that place. To work with the Dolphins and in the arena they work with them would be fabulous. I will have post some pics of our swim with the dolphins when we went there!
I'll work there! Or maybe the Pirates Dinner theatre! ;) Sure, now that is a good fit...NOT!
sues*NOT a pirate, but a Princess! :p: *slicker
