These eBay predators are the scum of the earth and it could really ruin a family's vacation if they fell prey to these leeches, not knowing better and trying to save a little money by getting their tix on eBay.

Yeah, that's the down side of working turnstiles. You have to tell these poor fools that they just got ripped off for hundreds to thousands of dollars and the ain't gettin' no Mickey.

Years ago, we'd comp 'em in if they'd fill out a police report (there used to be a lot of sharks working I-Drive, so local police could take action). Had to give it up when so many bogus reports were turned in that the Orlando PD asked us to knock it off.

Word to the wise: don't buy theme park tickets from somebody who comes up to your table at Denneys in the morning!

At DLR what I heard from CMs there was that a group of people would get into the park on a ticket then one person would go back to the bus with the ticket and another group would enter the park. They even had copies of hand stamps. I miss them good old days before we were searched, stamped and scanned before going into a park. It is easier to get on a plane that into parks it seems.

If that's true, it's a change that happened since my last shift. I do that nearly every shift I work.

What I love most are the folks who come in with a wad of unrelated tickets to check. The last batch I had included old VIP passes, comp passes, and a few partly-used passes, some ten years old. I thought the guest was going to explode when I asked for photo ID that matched the name on *just one* of the passes before I would return them. :twisted: Spent a long time explaining that it was "for her protection in case someone stole her tickets". Yeah, right.

Imagine my surprise when she actually came up with matching ID!

Hmmm, must have changed it back after I left the resorts then. One of the last rules they had passed before I left to go back into the parks in attractions was not allowing us to look up remaining value on tickets. We were told they HAD to go to guest relations in the parks. The only exception was looking up tickets on a guest's active room key to see what entitlements they had. My mom worked at the TTC and she said they also were told to send all guests to guest relations. It probably wasn't a very effective deterent, and it probably made more guests angry or frustrated than it was worth.

A few months ago I decided to have some breakfast at the IHOP on 192 just West of Poinciana Blvd. When I came out, there was a business card on my car. The card was an offer to purchase partially used Theme Park tickets. It had two names and telephone numbers printed on it.

I sent it, with a cover letter, to WDW Security. About a month later I got a nice letter from Disney Legal thanking me for the assistance. Of course they would not tell me results, etc., but I did not expect that to happen anyway.

Is that the lady you were dealing with the day I dropped by? Whoever it was, you spent 20-30 minutes dealing with her issues and you were just the picture of patience.

Shows how much endurance he has!! I find it strange that someone would have stuff like that over ten years old, and want to try and use it. I have our old cards, that DW is going to "scrapbook" (arrrhhh!!!) with pictures and stuff, but trying to use them again? come on, just pay for the ticket people!!

Not that big a deal. I get (under)paid by the hour. At least she didn't throw things at me like SGs did in the Park.

And you are much less likely to end up on crutches if you have to step out from behind the counter unexpectedly. ;)
