A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

We are cold today in the single digits, we had a blast of arctic air that blew down and dropped snow on the lower half of Denver, but none up here. Doncha just LOVE micro climates. Not a flake here and 3 inches about 20 miles south of us! Weird weather here.
There is another storm moving in for the late weekend, but I won't hold my breath for snow. It sure is pretty when it is falling, big, fat flakes, so quiet. If we could just get a couple inches and that's it, it would be okay. We don't want to be digging out and watching Ralph shovel in just his nightshirt and pooh hat again!

A few inches of snow would be perfect to make everything all crystally white and twinkly in the lights and pretty and not too deep for driving in. Only with the temps so low, it could be a problem for icy roads with single digits. We will get into the 20s today and then back down to single digits tonight again! Brrrrrrrrrrrr.. Now THAT is cold! Gunnison had 35 below last night. That is a small town on the western slope in a valley. It is ALWAYS cold there! But they are all tough grizzled cowboys and ranchers for the most part, so they can take it. *Git along little Dawgie, How ya doin' there, Pard?*

In the Florida panhandle we are almost up to normal water levels after several heavy rain storms in the last few months. It's central and south Florida that still need a hurricane or two to make up their water deficit (knock on wood that they don't get any H's this summer, maybe just some heavy rains).
A friend of mine grew up in Maine but she says the hottest and coldest she's ever been in her life was when she lived here in Pensacola. It's the high humidity, both summer & winter, that gets to you. But generally our winters are quite mild compared to most of the country.

Ooooh! I thought you all needed water there. Well, a little rain is okay. It will go away soon. Maybe to the south.
Hobie, you changed your avatar again. I was just getting used to Kurt, now you throw Lebowski at me! What are we going to do with you? :p:

Maude Lebowski: What do you do for recreation?
The Dude: Oh, the usual. I bowl. Drive around. The occasional acid flashback.

Try the different ones at the bottom of the maps. For some odd reason I do really well on the UNESCO one. The closest I came to beating the USA one is 200 freakin points. Some weird ass towns that are god knows where come up last round. Have fun and you can blame me when you get no sleep tonite
