Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Grumpy Pirate - go to the Houseparty.com web site and click on the Disney Cruise Line House Party and find the map that shows where all the parties are being held. There are several in your area - maybe you can find one close by, go to their party web site and contact one of the hosts to get an invitation.
Or, you can go to Board X (can I mention the name on here?) and scroll through all 25 (or more) discussion pages and see if someone in your area is hosting a party. I can PM a link to you if you need it.
Don't you have to be invited to the party. That is what it looks like on the web site. There are a few in my area and I would love to go to one, but I don't know the people and I have not been invited to one. It would be fun!

I've seen people on Board X who did not get selected to be a host but they want to attend a party, so they are asking that if someone in their area is hosting a party, could they please come as a guest? And there are a lot of positive responses. These people don't really know each other, either. Well, perhaps from the Boards. But you could probably "introduce" yourself, say you heard about the parties, and ask politely if anyone might have room for a guest who really really wants to attend.
Oh, I just remembered - you can also attend a virtual party. For instance, I could invite you as a virtual guest, and if you registered at Houseparty.com under my party you would be eligible for their prize and sweepstakes drawings even if you couldn't be there. But it would be much more fun to actually attend one of those parties.
You can come to mine if you can find some way to get here. :)

Since I am in the frozen tundra of Buffalo, I KNOW no one wants to come here. ;)

We saw a car with FL license plates last week and thought "WHY?"

My brother lives near Burbank. He will only visit between June and August. :D:

Thanks I'll go to the website you mentioned. I am not going to (brand X) as much, as I noticed that the info there seems to repeat, some is just silly, and some is just getting a little boring.

The Burbank has such short runways that just before the plane touches down you hear banging noises. It's the wheels hitting car antennas in long term parking.

Okay, so yesterday at work was interesting. The bay area was getting hit with a massive storm (lots of wind and rain) and there was an injury at the wrestling tournament taking place in my building. So, silly me, I volunteered to go stand in the rain and wave in the firetruck and ambulance. I GOT SOAKED! But that wasn't the fun part.
Fire always gets to us first and the ambulance always goes to the wrong entrance before coming to the right one. So I see the ambulance head down the wrong street towards the front of the convention center and I call it in to Security. Then I hear sort of a ripping sound. There is stuff falling from the facade of the Hilton Hotel. It looked like stone. I called in to Security and get the ambulance up the loading dock ramp before I can go and take a look. Turns out that the upper facade of the building is styrofoam covered in stucco (because of earthquake regs.:p :) and it was being blown to bits. Several large chunks weighing about 10 pounds each landed on the street. Probably scared a few drivers. One piece is stuck in a tree. When I left yesterday, there was still a few pieces high up flapping in the wind.
I didn't have my camera yesterday, but I brought it today and I'm going to go see if I can get any good pics.

That will be a wake up call, having a piece of building come down around you!! even at ten pounds or so, that cauld cause a nasty injury!!
