Just don't get her started on the rum too early!

Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker! I got up at 2am last night to finish burning some DVD's for our baby sitter. She had me encode some VHS tapes and burn them to DVD, as well as scan some photos. I did two slide shows and split the video into two movies. 5 hours later iDVD was finished and I had to burn 6 more DVD's for her (11 minutes per burn). She headed to the airport at 745am, so I was up at 7 to take them to her house. I thought about having some good ole rum, but I think I'm tired enough to skip it and just sleep. When I'm tired I tend to ramble on about random things that pop in to my mind, but that is really for another thread...

Sounds like you got quite a operation going!! I am still slowly converting my old vinals to MP3's, THEN DW's and she inheareted some old 78's (forign made no less!!) so we'll see. I have all contemporary photos on DVD/raid/HDD archive. NEXT project in January is scanning all my old photos and slides from my military days. some date back to the 70's in Vietnam!

No real operation, I have a video camera that does digital pass through, and a macbook pro that has final cut pro. I also have a scanner. I can't get the CFO to release funds for a real raid setup, but I routinely back up my photos to dvd now. I am eyeing a 1TB external drive so I can do more video stuff. The entire final cut studio suite takes up 52G, which would give me no room on here to actually import, edit and render video :/

I built my own raid, got a cabinet device from on line and some good HDD's, nothing like a SAN at work, but its 1.2tb, big enough for home use!Its about half the size of the shuttle computers. I'll probably have to build one for DW, because she keeps filling up her external storage with designs, I got her a digital sketch pad and she keeps "jotting" things down.

Hmmmmmmm...I wonder why...You probably hear it everytime the Parade goes by twice a day! Kinda sticks in your head. I like the Christmas Parade music. I wish they would release it on CD like some of the other attractions music, F!, Electrical Parade all on CD, why not the DL Christmas Parade music. I may have to record it while I am down there this year and I will have a perfect place to do it, front row in a chair outside Small World for Parade viewing after our tour! That cost us!$$$$ I should be able to pick it up pretty well. I will have to reme3mber to bring the recorder.

She did lose of her jibbits in her crocs (Castle we bought at WDW, had replaced at DL...) and we thought it might be by where she met Dopey, but it wasn't. After that she kept saying "dopey has the castle." Very cute :) I didn't get a picture with Jack Sparrow wearing my "Sparrow is my co-pirate" shirt either :/
I lost my jibbitz as well when I wore them at DL I think I may crazy glue them in so they don't fall out. Only drawback is you can't change them out then. I have so many jibbitz of all the princesses and the castle and Mickey, Minnie and Donald...The Denver Airport has a Crocs store (because it is based out of Boulder) and I bought some of my jibbitz there, but most of them at eBay. I got my Mickey crocs at that shop too! Nice to have it right there before you board. Crocs get a bad rap, lots of people hate them, say they are ugly. But they are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and the are good for your feet too.
ktulu wrote:The fire department in my city drivers around to all the neighborhoods (apartments and mobile home parks included) with Santa on top of the fire truck. We were waiting for him to drive by and the neighbor kids were singing Hannah Montana songs with my daughter (who loves Hannah Montana, could be worse...), so when they stopped I asked Abby what song the pirates sing and she broke out with Yo Ho :) She sings the "we kindle and char" part, which is the only one she can really figure out I guess.
Our next door neighbor had a fire truck out in front of their house last week and we thought something was wrong with their young twins again. The light was flashing and every once in awhile you would hear the siren. Turned out Santa made a personal appearance at their Christmas party. The Fire Dept does that here by request and probably asks for a donation for their Toys for Tots or other charities to show up at your Christmas Party. It was cool. We went out on our porch and watched all the little ones get pictures taken with Santa and the truck rolled away with lights still flashing and the siren going just a little, not full on loud. Santa is real. I saw him with my own four eyes!!!!!!!
Where is the smiley with glasses? Zazuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!! :)

I bought a pair of POTC crocs on a whim last time I was at WDW. Got home and started wearing them, they are great!! DW got upset, as I wanted to wear them to a Christmas party we went to a couple of days ago, had to wear regular shoes!!

You guys think too small. I put 16 TB systems together out of returned equipment for my SEs. They usually had 10 Gb ethernet, iSCSI and an HBA for fiber channel SAN.
