The story that I read from a different service stated that the reports of the death were in error, and that the report of death was regretted, the CM was in serious condition at the hospital. (??)

In buses, we also lost a good person this week. Wilbert Heard was driving to work on Epcot Center Drive, had a massive heart attack and a resulting traffic accident.

When I was starting with Disney in March, I went and rode around with a couple bus drivers, and Wilbert was the first driver with whom I had this experience. Wilbert was a good friend, a good driver, and an all-around really neat guy. He will be missed.

That is hard to deal with for everyone. :( I am sure there will be many sad people at WDW today for both of these wonderful CMs. I send my condolences to all at the Park and their families and friends.

Loss is hard, but the human condition is a difficult one and these lovely individuals who had such great impacts on the lives and happiness of others are in a better place now. They will be missed, but with time, the hurt will pass, and the knowledge that their memory and legacies live on as long as you hold them in your hearts will bring great happiness. I hope that time comes for you all sooner rather than later.

My sympathies and God bless all of you -- especially as you have to appear sunny and cheerful to guests who have no idea what you're dealing with.
