Something like that. The decorating there is uh, interesting too :) It's a fun place for either dinner or dessert. Dinner is really fun if you can get a group of people to go and order the Roman Orgy.vixen101485 wrote:Thanks Chessie. Kind of like a theme restaurant with faux celebrity servers??

all right I broke down and looked at their web site. Neat rooms, a little dark tho. The menu is way pricey. 8 bucks for chicken fingers.?? WDW is cheaper. LOL One of those things we would probably do once to say we did but I get uncomfy in dark closed-in restaurants.

Yup, I do. Doesn't mean I'll be telling scurvy pirates about them though. Not on my day off, certainly.GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:No one told me about a schedule change!! Where is Zazu, he knows about these things!!!

Yeah, but they need to understand delivery.Kwahati wrote:Maybe when they get older, they'll progress to Jungle Cruise? It'd be totally awesome to have a kid wandering around shooting imaginary animals with a fake gun and spieling lame jokes non-stop! :D:

Re: My daughter and POTC
Actually, one of my favorite rides (I've had about 20 "favorite" because of diversity of skippers) on the JC was a slightly more adult version (at night with no kids on the boat) where the skipper did a rapid-fire thing just tossing out every joke related to every scene possible, as quickly as possible, with no further thought given to delivery. It's so direct and un-funny that it becomes a very subtle brand of humor... But I'm just giggling now imagining a kid pointing out the counter tops saying "They're actually Formica, I mention this because most people take `em for granite!" and then 'shooting' at the goldfish. :twisted:Big Wallaby wrote:Yeah, but they need to understand delivery.
Edited to add: I hear the goldfish are only dangerous when they blow bubbles and wiggle their ears!
Further edited to add: I know that Animal Kingdom is supposed to be educational, but I really wish there was an option to ride a Jungle Cruise-esque version of Kili Safari. I just feel like there have to be good jokes there just waiting to happen and the people they put on KS are such good spielers... (I don't know why, but that just made me think of a boat ride from POR to DTD where the captain was telling us some things about Disney's waterways and wildlife and such. He pointed out a bird who promptly flew away and that made the captain say "Huh. That's odd. I don't know why he flew away..." Which made me shout out involuntarily "Because he can?!?" The captain laughed so hard he had to stop the boat for a second... Needless to say, I was pretty proud of myself.)

Okay, when you are un-funny to be funny, that's different, too. That, itself, can be an entertaining delivery if done properly... but then, timing is still key. I've played with doing everything on the bus from saying everything in a monotone
At JC, some people get it, and others don't. Maybe I'll try it out myself sometime...

Aw, you gotta love Droopy Dog. If you can do that act, in my mind you are a master (but not The Master
