LOL...I wouldnt doubt that a radio station would be similar to what was portrayed on the show. I have been involved with some TV stations that I could compare to. LOL

Please dont tell me you had a Herb Tarlick and a Les Nesman too?
This doesnt translate well to the printed word but....."today in the golfing world...CHI CHI RODREGUIZ LOL
We had a Herb Tarlick, not so much a Les Nessman... I loved that CHI CHI Rodrigweeze...So funny...... I believe they have to get the rights for the new format. There are royalties and all that involved. Legal stuff, so everyone gets compensated for their artistic content. GAD, I loved that show!

Didn't say I never tried it, it just doesn't ring my bell. I remember when Ben and Jerry had there first shop in downtown Burlington. You would see them out with a small push cart scooping ice cream for whomever might want some. It is very good ice cream but a little too rich for me. In fact, I sat there and chatted with Ben one time when he had a booth at a Grocery Retailers Association convention hall. Very down to earth guy but then again he wasn't wealthy at that point.

We all felt a little sad when they sold out to Unilever Co. but so far they have tried to follow the same spirit as the founders.

Didn't Ben and Jerrys have some sort of public outcry, before they sold out. Something about trying to get a killer out of jail that murdered a police officer, or something like that? I seem to remember reading something, of course I remember the Banana split better!!

For me, probably the best late 70's sitcom was Taxi.

"Reverend Jim" Ignatowski: Pssssttt... what does the yellow light mean?
Bobby Wheeler: "Slow down."
"Reverend Jim" Ignatowski: What... does... the... yellow... light... mean?
Bobby Wheeler: "Slow down"!
"Reverend Jim" Ignatowski: Whaaaat... dooooeeees... theeeee... yeeeel-looowwww... liiiiight... meeeeaaan?

Bobby Wheeler: Mental illness or narcotic addiction?
"Reverend Jim" Ignatowski: Now that's a tough choice...

Louie De Palma: What's this?
Latka Gravas: It's a kebble.
Louie De Palma: What's a kebble?
Latka Gravas: 110 kebble make a lithnitch.
Louie De Palma: What's a lithnich?
Latka Gravas: 270 lithnich make a matta.
Louie De Palma: What's a matta?
Latka Gravas: I don't know, what's the matter with you?

"Reverend" Jim Ignatowski: Eyes...
Elaine Nardo: No, don't put two.
"Reverend" Jim Ignatowski: Oh, they mean color, don't they?

Louie De Palma: Ignatowski! Where have you been all week?
"Reverend" Jim Ignatowski: I don't work weekends.
Louie De Palma: You been gone nine days!
"Reverend" Jim Ignatowski: Yeah...
Tony Banta: Jim, weekends are only two days.
"Reverend" Jim Ignatowski: Oh, I thought we'd switched to the metric system.

Taxi...ahhhhhhhh...what a great show. Loved Jim, he was so funny, isn't he the guy that ended up being the nutty scientist in the "Back To The Future" movies.
I love that guy, he is the best actor and so funny. :D:

Yeah, they shoulda never sold out...That disappointed us as well. Their ice cream is still good though. I love it. I was eating Hagen Das (sp?) for a while and then Dove with the chocolate ganache covering the top of the ice cream in the pint container, but I cannot get enough of the Banana Split flavor of Ben and Jerry's. And me, trying to LOSE weight! HAH! Never gonna happen with the Ben and Jerry's breakfast! :D: To compensate I must sacrifice other meals and eat...eat...lets see..hmmmmmm...Top Ramen, yeah, that's it. I lived on that in College and lost a LOT of weight! That'll do it. Top Ramen for lunch and dinner and ice cream for breakfast. :hysteria:
Didn't everyone in college eat that crap cause you could get 10 pkgs of it for a buck? :p:
Not that I would be too healthy on that diet...I do still take all my vitamins though and NOT Flintstones chewables. :p:
susi*fluffy figured  , HAHAHA GAH! HATE THAT WORD, "fluffy"*slicker

dang, shoulda multiquoted that, I wanna use my new knowledge.....

My College diet was....Milk,bread,eggs,margarine,catsup, cheese food squares and generic mac and cheese in the box. I would get veggies at the hospital cafeteria(no meat, too expensive).
My Kids have it made.....
