I had a friend who worked the evening shift at a local radio station. The studio phone line had a number that was the same as the local Dominos with two numbers switched. They frequently got pizza orders. Most of the time they just told the caller they had the wrong number and gave them the right one. But sometimes (when they were bored) they would take the order and just call it in themself. I wonder how often they were tempted to "make a mistake" on the order (swapping NO anchovies to Double anchovies).Syndrome wrote:This is sort of off-topic, but I think that's a requirement for any thread anyway. This suggestion reminded me of when I lived in my apartment where the last four digits of my phone number were 0003 and the local pizza parlor was 0033. Usually I'd just say "wrong number," but if they caught me in a cranky mood I'd say, "Sorry, we burned down" or "We're not doing deliveries because we were destroyed by a tornado."
