My mom used to say "They go in threes" whenever a celebrity died. Gary Owens, of Rowen and Martin's Laugh-In fame, will not be down for breakfast. Neither will Lesley Gore, whose hit "It's My Party(And I'll Cry If I Want To)" went #1 in the early 60s. I always used to like the clock behind Owens on Laugh-In when he did the "news"-- I never could tell what time the hands would show, and it could show two times at once. He also used to do a commercial for a radio station. As for Ms. Gore, I enjoy listening to her songs, especially if I'm fortunate enough to her "Party" first and its sequel, "And Now It's Judy's Turn To Cry" next. A great combo, of her losing her boyfriend being lured away by the class meanie, then her creative and simple way of getting him back.
Wonder who #3 is going to be? Or did I miss one?
