We're seeing 2 -4 today. Not much higher than that for the next few days. The other side of the island may get some big ones. Might be a good time to go camp out at Jaws.DisneyMom wrote:Hope all is well in Maui, Hobie.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Watch the surf reports. If Jaws is projected to be up, head over late on the day before. Otherwise, you may be looking at a five mile hike. The crowds and traffic are huge when Jaws gets big surf.mapo wrote:How does one camp out at Jaws?hobie16 wrote:We're seeing 2 -4 today. Not much higher than that for the next few days. I think what may be confusing some Floridians is that in Hawai'i, "Jaws" is a beach, not an extinct attraction.

Jaws is the surf break. The beach is Peahi.Zazu wrote:I think what may be confusing some Floridians is that in Hawai'i, "Jaws" is a beach, not an extinct attraction.
The break was named after the film Jaws due to its unpredictability like a shark attack.
