Miley Cirus

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

It seems the same thing happens every year. The VMAs roll around and there is shock and outrage. The most interesting thing for me this year is that Miley was more shocking than Lady Gaga. From what little I remember hearing over the past few years, it doesn't seem surprising. Miley has made a point of letting everyone know she's not a girl anymore and definitely not Hannah Montana. What better place for a music performer to make that point.

Of course, being an person of a certain age (:old :) I haven't seen the VMA show or Miley's performance in particular. Just seeing all the headlines on every news site I vist.

OK, What Part of Don't Be Lindsay Lohan or Amanda Bynes doesn't she understand? I know they all have their own special problems, but fame tragically gone wrong seems to be something in common here.

Oh, I don't know. She seems to be confining her antics to the stage or shocking clothing. So far it seems to be bringing her a lot of publicity. Not saying that she might not privately be following in their footprints, but haven't seen any headlines there yet.

I didn't think I was getting to this age, but I sure miss the past. I miss people like Annette that took what was given to her and used it for good throughout her life. No scandal, no controversy, no character defamation. She was a wonderful human start to finish. These young people have such opportunities to make a difference, and they throw it away. Lindsey, Christina, Amanda, and now Miley. What a sad change has come. I know that is naïve and simplistic, but there is good to be done in this world, and we are missing the chance. (whew. Now I can put my soapbox away)

Miley Cirus has been granted asylum in Russia.

Are you sure they will take her? She comes with a no return policy.
