I'm not sure I did this right. If I did, here are a couple of pics of the most recent car.

Ford and the after market guys have done some nice things with the 351. If you're more of a cruiser you need a hot cam that gives the engine a nice lope at idle.

My first real car was a '62 500XL. It had a 406 with 3x2s and 11.4:1 compression. I had to run 120 octane Chevron Custom Supreme so it wouldn't knock. It had such a pronounced lope at idle that it would scare off potential red light racers. Fun car.

Hm, I was all prepared to hate Cars and I walked out surprisingly entertained. So I went into Cars 2 with moderate hopes and walked out saying, "well Pixar had to make a bad movie eventually. They can't all be hits." Not sure what to think with Planes. I'll probably go in with low expectations so I can be pleasantly surprised again.

SAWEEEET. Would give my ex-wife for that car.
A friend of mines dad had a 63 Merc with the same set-up. He claims it would do 130 in third gear and local LEOS would come lookin for him to race against their cruisers.

The '63 Merc probably had a 427. They were rated at 425 hp but actually put out around 600. The Mercs did better in NASCAR racing because of their aerodynamics.
