Nowhere! Those of you who guessed 'nowhere' can get your prize later.
I got laid off Friday.
So I thought I'd look for software engineering jobs at disneycareers.com. Alas, they all seem to be on the other side of the country.
But maybe some day...
EDIT: I must have done something wrong. They have software jobs EVERYWHERE. Now I just have to convince my wife it's ok to move to Florida.
Guess where I work!

Aw, man. That sucks.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Re: Guess where I work!
Unemployment is a real bummer. Hope you saved up some money (to hold you over for some time) and that you find work soon. I will be starting my new job as President and owner of a franchised automotive business, on the 24th of this month. It took me five years, and the evaluation of a couple of hundred businesses, until I found this one. Hopefully it doesn't take you as long.
Re: Guess where I work!
Thanks for the kind words. I accepted a job offer tonight. Well, a tentative job offer, but it's pretty firm. I won't say with whom, but you've heard of them, and they are not in the entertainment industry as far as I know.
I plan to celebrate by going to a local amusement park. :) Alas, Disney has now given up on two opportunities to be local.

Re: Guess where I work!
Since I almost certainly have a new job starting in October AND I have some severance pay, I decided to do a real Stupid Guest Trick.
I was going to celebrate with a day at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. It's a 3-4 hour drive away, but if I could find a group to go that wouldn't be so bad.
But nobody could make it on such short notice.
So I thought that I could go anyway, just drive down the night before and stay at a cheap hotel.
And then I thought, "well, I have all this free time and I wasn't going to have a vacation anyway, but now I can..."
Long story short, I leave tomorrow for Orlando (ok Kissimmee). I'll be driving down and staying at South of the Border along the way. My family used to do that every year when I was a kid (my parents' hobby was living beyond their means), and this will be quite the nostalgic trip for me.
If anyone would like to meet up, drop me a PM. I'll be doing all the big parks and maybe a water park too. I'm also doing IoA (and Fright Night) and Busch Gardens Tampa which I have never ever been to.
If you see me in a park and want to say hi, the secret code phrase is: what time is the 3:00 parade?
I look like this: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/images/boa ... mike-young I'll try to wear my "no disco dancing" pin, but no promises.
