I've never participated in the SCA, but I used to go to the northern CA Renaissance Faire every year back when it was at Black Point Forest. These days I go to Dickens Fair instead, although I'm usually a bit anachronistic because I prefer bustle to hoop, and this year I went even farther afield and built a 1903 gown. (I'd just build a new S-curve corset and couldn't resist. It is SO COOL and so unlike a Victorian corset!)
