Good corporate planning. Plenty of time to identify and bring his successor up to speed as the street like orderly management transitions. Unlike the last management change there should be few problems.
Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

This is not resigning. It is retiring. He will get a lot of money for this and keep his Gold MGP.
