Oh, i'm heartbroken. knew it had to be coming but still.
i really don't know how i'd have gotten through all those eye surgeries without my iPod. every time i would count clicks to change playlists and find things, I silently thanked Steve Jobs for making it possible.
and yeah...without him, no Pixar so...
*sigh*
so sad.

It is amazing how one company led by one man changed the world. Steve Jobs is the computer industry's Walt Disney.

Agreed. This was not shocking, but still upsetting. Mr. Jobs certainly was an innovator.dazyhill wrote:Thank you Steve Jobs for seeing the potential with computer animation and buying a little division from Lucasfilm called Pixar.
Most of all thank you Steve Jobs for thinking differently. RIP

If you haven't seen it elsewhere, here is John Lasseter's statement on Jobs' passing:
Steve Jobs was an extraordinary visionary, our very dear friend and the guiding light of the Pixar family. He saw the potential of what Pixar could be before the rest of us, and beyond what anyone ever imagined. Steve took a chance on us and believed in our crazy dream of making computer animated films; the one thing he always said was to simply 'make it great.' He is why Pixar turned out the way we did and his strength, integrity and love of life has made us all better people. He will forever be a part of Pixar’s DNA. Our hearts go out to his wife Laurene and their children during this incredibly difficult time.
iRIP. :(

I really don't understand them. Talk about a group with nothing better to do.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Also, they should probably be thinking about hiring some heavy duty security. I doubt that they realize the level of commitment that runs through the Apple community. I wouldn't be surprised if this particular protest landed a few Westboro members in the hospital.

Westboro scumbags, meet Apple Evangelistas. Will Guy Kawasaki lead the troops?

If Guy, the original Apple Evangelist, lead the troops - I'd make a pilgrimage to Cupertino to join him!hobie16 wrote:Westboro scumbags, meet Apple Evangelistas. Will Guy Kawasaki lead the troops?
Have you heard the recording of the webinar that he did yesterday evening? It was supposed to be centered on how to use Facebook in business, but he got the news of Steve's passing about 10 minutes before it started, so he gave an impromptu history/memoir of Steve, Apple, and his time with the company. Very cool.
