Again, there is nothing inherently wrong with the "casual" approach to touring the parks. However, not everyone has the luxury of being able to come back in a few days. In my case, it is years between visits to Disneyland. As such, simply going "I'll ride this next time I'm here" isn't really an option. So, in that case, having some sort of plan before hand helps me to make the most of my trips, and avoid missing doing something I wanted to do.
Nothing says you can't schedule some downtime, or even adjust you plan on the fly.
"Relax" is a relative term, and once again, having a plan doesn't equate to having to synchronize watches and move in formation to each way-point at exactly the precise time.
And I can see how a lot of SGs would come from not doing any sort of planning ahead, then complaining about how they weren't able to do something ultra-important to them because they couldn't get to it. SGs will tend to be SGs, no matter what method they use.
yeah, I can see that you cannot understand that some people like to relax on vacation.
its evident by the umm, "insistence" that you must plan!!! good for you.
personally, since I pretty much know the layout or the WDW parks, and of course Disneyland! I don't really need to "schedule" anything! :D:
And if I do miss something, even on another visit to the parks during the same vacation, we may pick it up next year, or the year after if we don't make it back for vacation.
I can see that (and read on board "X") that "missing" any one attraction will "RUIN" someones vacation, and of course then, you MUST complain to a CM at City hall that you (the general you) are LIVID that Disney would be so mean as to close down an attraction and thus ruin your vacation!
I believe that here, on SGT, there have been many a thread concerning SG's complaining about that very fact.
I think that the various web sites that do offer such planning have taken it farther and are doing a bit of disservice to people. It makes them feel that their vacation is a failure if they don't see every square inch of every park, and go on all of the attractions.
I think that all this over planning hype was the beginning of a larger influx of entitled SG's, willing to do anything to achieve the "perfect" vacation!
after all, Frankie say RELAXX!
