"Reserved for" Spots in Toy Story Lot

My wife and I were at Disneyland last Friday, and parked in the Buzz Lightyear section of the Toy Story Lot for the first time. While walking to the bus, I saw parking spaces with signs in front of them that said, "Reserved for Guest of the Day. Must display placard", and "Reserved for Annual Passholder of the Day. Must display placard."

I've never seen these before, and I've never heard of these designations. Can someone provide some clarity for me on what in the world these are (and, possibly, how one becomes one of these)?

In all likelihood, they're part of the Magical Moments programme, in which Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Cast Members create small yet still very magical memories for randomly selected Guests.

The Resort Transportation and Parking Cast Members likely randomly select two vehicles per day, one from the normal Guest population and one from those presenting a Disneyland Resort Annual Passport or Disney Premier Passport. These Guests receive priority parking and possibly other small benefits.
