Oh, and when I go swimming it turns GREEN....then I run to drugstore for something with a lil red in it so I can go back to work... :p:

UGH....the things a girl has to do!

Oh and when I turn purple from sun poisoning....man, I make the Noxema girl look like she didn't use any!

They did a great parody on SNL once. "Herbal Essences for Men".
Why yes, yes it is.

When I was 13, I started getting gray hair. Thanks mom! In high school, college and now work I keep it dark brown. I have not turned into a stop light yet.

I go swimming and it turns light brown. I work in the sun and my hair gets blond streaks. If I don't color my hair every 5 weeks, I have gray again.

That would be M&M's missing a few colors. ;)

^Same here, turkeyham, but I have you beat by three years! lol I was ten when I started going gray. I like to play with colors, but mainly stay to the gingery original color (think Debra Messing). And you're spot on - about every 4 to 5 weeks is a must or you can see the white peeking through. And.....it's about time to do it tonight or tomorrow actually. Thanks for the reminder!

If you go to Sally Beauty supply I find the Italian ION Brand lasts without changing colors - its wonderful! The people there will help you get started - just talk to them!

You need gloves
a bottle to mix
a bottle of developer (this lasts for several coloring, if you have short hair you only need 2 ounces) the common is ION's 20
a bottle of color (doing it yourself you want the liquid, the ION does have the creme that isnt as messy but harder to apply alone imo)

The color is $6...

this has saved me hundreds of dollars a year!!

The parade performers are wearing wigs with the color streaks built in

Almost all of the parade dancers, performers, etc. are in wigs.

And probably many of the parade viewers, but that's a different matter entirely. :)
