Orlando Cop/UO Team Member Arrested for Scalping Tickets

Post by glendalais » Fri Jul 02, 2010 11:31 pm

Orlando Sentinel: Orlando cop, wife illegally traded in black-market theme-park tickets, records claim

He made three times with OPD what an Hourly Frontline FT UO or WDW employee would make annually, yet still felt the need to sell tickets to make more???

And he was in a position that is partially meant to ensure that High School students grow into law-abiding citizens??

:oweye:

:frypan: What an idiot this guy is. Great example for the kids at his high school and his children, if he had any. Let's hope he didn't. I would never understand why folks who are in a good position manage to make such a mess of thing.

Greed and the belief that they won't get caught because they think they know the system.

Interesting mix of stuff. A good chunk of that is legal, just unethical. It looks like when he started dealing in the stolen ones it became clearly illegal. As far as reselling his own tickets and such, perfectly legal I think. If he had stuck to that the worst that could have been done was for Universal to fire him.

The cherries on top are that they did not collect and remit Sales Taxes on the ticket sales.

Too bad they were not sending the tickets out by mail. Mail fraud seems to catch a lot of the crooks that could not be nailed by other means !
