Right because all of the pre parade advertisments they've done since the 80s wasn't bad at all. But slap a promo on a monorail and it's death to Disney.
Yep still here, not going anywhere? Got a problem with that? There is the ignore feature, it can be your friend.

And I didn't say the pre parade ads we're ok, but they were not as bad as this.
This is tacky, distasteful and over done. And apparently I am not the only one to think so.

Dude, everything Disney does is to make money. Have you not paid attention to all of the gift shops you find yourself in after leaving an attraction?

Yeah, you're right, Disney wrapped a monorail advertising their own movie, this is the end!

You'd probably find fault with this too.

Not the end, but one more step closer to it.

What's wrong with that picture? Walt standing on a train. He is not advertising, the train is not wrapped is some tacky logo. Mickey is not holding a sign "Go watch the latest movie."

Sure he is, it's all a form of advertisement/promotion/whatever.

I know that I'm late here, but this sort of reminds me when Disneyland put a wrap on one of their Monorails to promote the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.

I'll be honest, I don't really mind these kinds of monorail wraps too much, because they are just intended to be temporary.

Walt Disney himself was no stranger to synergy.

We all love those classic "Walt Disney Presents" shows, in which Walt would preview new things for Disneyland and other projects. Those shows are just glorified commercials.

I know they are temporary and thank god they are, but it just seems that there is ALWAYS something Disney has to cover up for a year (or 8). They could have done the tron thing by putting decals on the monorail windows like they did with HCOE. Or even just had the light cycle on the side making the stripe of the monorail the light beam. Heck I would even think it cool, if they made the monorail stripes light up and "glow" at night (they could leave that after the tron promotion for better visual for monorail pilots).

Ever been on the wrapped buses? Yes you can see out, but not as easy and talk about claustrophobia, OMG!!!!

Anyway. as with anything Disney does, it will be a 50/50 thing. some will like, others won't. No need to argue over it. If you like it, Great, if not, Great. To each their own.

Take care then, bye bye now. :)

P.S. I am a Tron fan too, so this is not against Tron :)

I don't think that they should repaint the monorails like that...They are beautiful machines as is, the white with the color strip is something people recognize all throughout the world and that is the paint scheme I grew up and fell in love with, not some billboard.

The good news is, it has not been repainted, its just a wrap. :)
