Pure genius

Post by JugglingFreak » Mon May 14, 2007 10:42 am

I found this little gem on Rec.arts.disney.parks

(this would have taken place on Sunday, 5/13/07)

"First off, we saw a guest with a rental boat ( Boston Whaler), take an anauthorized loop around the World Showcase lagoon. He came through the restricted area by the the IG gateway, entered, and turned right at France, and hugged the shore all the way around, back to the UK. His loop took about 15 minutes around the lagoon. Several CM's were yelling at him to turn around and leave immediately, but he just ignored them. He had his wife and two small kids in the boat too. What a jerk. Not only do they warn you about the restricted areas when you rent the boat, but there is a restricted sign at the bridge walkway between BW & BC, and there is also a decal posted on the dashboard of the boats showing you what areas are off limits. He was finally met by a lake patrol boat as he was exiting UK, and escorted out."

Did anyone here happen to witness this act of brilliance? I have no reason to doubt the truthfulness of the story, I just wondered if there was anyone who could verify it.

However, the thought of it being verified scares me..

Should have had a daylight showing of IllumiNations. Of course, he wouldn't have left, but instead wondered what he had done to be allowed to see a fireworks show so up close...

I'll bet he tried to play the "No Speak Englais" bit.

I have been up close and personal to a fireworks ground zero (as a volunteer firefighter). While the view is spectacular, It's a very scary experience
