Subject: It's only a painting


I was working the ice cream wagon in Hollywood right next to the
painting of downtown Hollywood. I had a guest about 35-40 years old
come up to me and ask me how to get to the "hill back there." At
first I had no clue what he was talking about so I asked him where
exactly he meant. He points at the painting, and says "How do I get
on the other side of those ropes so I can walk down the street to
that hill down there?" It was difficult to keep myself from laughing,
so I just told him very quickly that that's downtown Hollywood, sir..
That hill is about 4 or 5 blocks away.. That's a pretty long walk.
Besides, that's only a painting. He just said "oh." and walked
away... I want to know he made it this far in life.
