As you may already know, I am also a member of the DIS. A creepy 30-yo male often posts there about his visits to 1900 Park Fair, and his obsession with Suzy and Perla. (brings them roses etc)

I wondered if he is irl just as much a creep as on message boards. Did any of you already meet him?

I know who you're talking about, never met him. I find the bulk of the posters on there to be, well, nevermind...

I've never meet him but I have seen him at 1900 Park Fare. I think he is harmless. I think he is developmentally challenged person. What we perceive as creepy is most likely just honest actions and devotion of a fan of these characters. I think the cast members that are around the characters would have noticed if his behavior was anything more than being a fan. The CM's in the parks know their regular guests that come into the parks quite often.
He seemed very sweet and the cast members were very nice to him. When I saw him at 1900 Park Fare in late January; It looked like he was celebrating his birthday and he was alone. The character handler even video taped for him when the CM's sang "Happy Birthday" I think it is rather sad that he seemed to be alone. Its no different than someone who is a fan of a band or a singer who tries to go to as many concerts as possible or a fan that tries to meet a band or a singer. It may be an odd thing to be a fan of. I am a huge Tinkerbell fan. When I went to the Pirate and Princess Party and watched the parade...I followed the Tinkerbell float down main street because I was trying to get a good picture.

Someone on the DIS in the past posted that they had met him at WDW once and that he was very nice, although painfully shy...to the point where he barely spoke.

He is an animal rights activist, and the only time I have ever seen him get into any kind of scuffle on the DIS was when he was posting about that. Even then, he was wayyyy nicer than he should have been, considering what some people said to him.

Anyway, I agree, he may be either developmentally disabled, or just socially disabled. He may have a real fear of people. In which case the characters are ideal for him to interact with. They don't speak. He doesn't have to worry about being socially inept with them.

While my DS is only 2, he is the same. He is animated and outgoing with the head characters, but EXTREMELY shy with the face characters. The guy you speak of always hit me as more phobic or socially challenged than creepy. He seems like a big kid. And my little guy also has a preference for Suzy and Perla. They are DH's second favorite too, right after Mickey. :D:

I do not know which board you are talking about as I belong to too many. I do remember seeing the pictures of him with the mice and thinking that he is a loner, possibly disabled. A bit obsessed with them mice but at least he is obsessed with female mice instead of Tarzan, :)

I found it and yep. I was right. I remember the photos and thought that he was a loner or disabled maybe but then I am not a good judge of people.

Oh, I wouldn't be too sure about the "developmentally challenged" part.

I saw a post one time, I think it was on DIS (which I am NOT a member of), where he posts, (paraphrasing) "I'm going to post this on _______ message board, and act like I am not smart. I'm sure I'll have people making fun of me. I want to see how many people do. :D: " There were other posts from him where he was carrying on a fairly upbeat, detailed, and highly intelligent conversation.

Maybe he is socially inept, but I do not think he is developmentally disabled.

Read his posts and you will see that he is indeed very child like therefore this thread should be closed. It is not fair to talk about someone who is child like and innocent apparently. Some people think he is faking it. Fake or real it is best left buried and leave him alone. If you see him then make his day shine.

I take back everything I said, as I have spent a lot of time digging and reading to uncover a closed thread that clearly show he is a fake. I am very upset with the idea of a grown man pretending to be child like and disabled. It makes people leery of the people who are truly mentally challenged and disabled in some way. What happens when a real person with child like innocence posts on any board, they could be treated with sour, vile remarks and doubts that would hurt a truly disabled person.

I am going to be a in a corner banging the wall with my fist or keyboard as I am so angry,. hrmphh :twisted:

If you want to talk about a creepy freak, why not discuss Creepy Paul, the VMK obsessed guest who hits on teenage girls (and younger CM's). I had to do a few witness statements about him. His daughter works at the Emporium.
