I am NOT a photographer!!
Ok, I just have to get this off my chest. In a way, it is sort of funny, but it is starting to get annoying. I am a character attendant, and some of the areas we work at have PhotoPass. The bad part about this is when we are at areas that do NOT have PhotoPass. People keep trying to hand me the cards. There is 2 things wrong with this. #1- the costume. PhotoPass wears a white shirt, dark blue bottoms, and a vest. Attendants wear black bottoms and a white/yellow shirt with Mickey designs on it. And #2 is the good one. I am NOT wearing an extremely expensive camera around my neck. So how am I supposed to take a picture? Out of thin air? I just had to get this out.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

That's when you whip out the sketch pad and ask the guests and the character to hold real still for about 20 minutes.
I got that at Studios all the time, because we had to cross on stage at least twice to get from our base to cast parking. Of course, I AM wearing the Photopass costume, but they don't seem to notice that I'm wearing a canvas bag across my shoulder instead of a camera and am rushing to get out of the park instead of standing there in the middle of the street.
BTW, are you ever at Toontown? I'm Josh, the Photopass EQR guy who's usually in the cage at night.

Just double checking so I don't screw up next time I'm in the park. Joanna, do you mind if I hand you MY camera and ask for a picture? Just so I can be in a few.joanna71985 wrote:Ok, I just have to get this off my chest. In a way, it is sort of funny, but it is starting to get annoying. No, I never mind if people ask me to take pictures with their cameras. In fact, I will ask the person taking the picture if they want to get in the picture as well. It's just when they hand out the card (and there is no PhotoPass) that is funny.

I would be tempted to say something like - "oh, is this a gift for ME? how kind! Is it your credit card?"
ok - i know I am not witty............
Even my spousal unit can tell the difference between a photographer and a non-photographer!
