I visit Walt Disney World as least four times a year. People often ask me what is it about Disney that keeps you going there all the time? My answer to that is everything. But most of all it is the way we a treated by the "cast". I have never run into a Cast member with a bad attitude. Everyone I have come across has been wonderful. You guys do an amazing job of masking any problems you have. It is you that makes the trip for us, please keep up the good work. A very sincere thank you to all.

You have NEVER run into a Cast member with a bad attitude? Wow your a lucky person.

I have never had a problem with any castmember, but have once or twice seen or walked past a CM that had a "f*ck the world" look on their face or as you get on a ride they arnt smiling or whatever. But I just over look it because I know they have a hard job and prob just had a run in with a stupid guest.

On behalf of the "GUEST" population of the world, I would like to apologize to all Cast Member's that have encountered a rude guest. We are working hard to weed out the ungrateful and replace them with buttons that don't work.

OK, i almost never reply to these "thanks CM" threads...I don't really know why. Maybe it's because I think of it as my purpose in the park, following the lines of "It's been my pleasure" and all that, and I just kinda am bewildered by the thank you's. I don't know really. I just never found "your welcome" to be much of a closer, as "no problem" or "my pleasure" are. Of course then theres the thank you for thanking us. ahhh big circle!

Not really sure what the above means, just let it out. I love the guests, I love to know my role and purpose. I love to go above and beyond-- but not make fellow CM's look inferior. I love to help out my fellow CM's and be helped out when I need it. I love my role; I don't like thinking of it as a job because I can get a 'job' anywhere. I can only get a 'role' at Disney. It's something very special to me, and something I have been trying to acheive for many many years. Heck, I brag that I 'work' at such a great place. I don't mind getting my friends and family in, its an honor just to have that blue maingate.

So to all the guests that say "thank you," it really has been My Pleasure :D:

Thats why I get upset when I see other CM's not smiling or 'looking' like their having the time of their life. I know- believe me I know - that its easy to have a bad day/minute/shift/rotation/guest situation. But personally I bounce back from those because I remember one thing: I'm being paid to have my dream come true at Disney World!~No reference to current promotion travesty intended.

Wow that was a bigger reply than I planned. Heartfelt. :D:

Oh: and one of the reasons I wanted to be a CM was so that I could get a few SGT stories of my own. That kind of stuff is really the best conversation starters ever, and dealing with them looks GREAT on a resume ;) I love all guests EXCEPT the ones that pose a threat or become very very aggressive with me/other guests.

^ And that sums it up for me as well. When I see a guest smiling, and knowing that I did something to help put that smile on their face. that's worth it all for me. Hearing the thanks is nice, and I do appreciate it. But it really is my pleasure to work there and help you have a good time.

I love being able to do things that help people have a great time and think of this as their best vacation ever. I know that when I'm at the parks (any park, not just Disney) that it's the workers that really make or break the trip for me. And knowing how much people have to save to come, and things they may be leaving behind just to take a break- yeah, when we can help to make your day, it makes mine too. Honestly, I come home almost every day from work with a big grin on my face and the satisfaction from helping so many have a good time. That's a great feeling.

I just feel sorry for those that treat it as only a job, because in so many ways it's so much more.

What do you mean you won't smile for the camera?
