Interesting stories in there about the inside workings of WDW.

The back of this book really turns me off.

How well can you answer leading questions?
Take the leading questions challenge!

When you want to get people to read your book, do you:
a) Tell them what is on the inside?
b) Post reviews of your book by reputable reviewers?
c) Attempt to titilate them with half-truths and innuendos?

Pah!

I don't know about half-truths and innuendos. 90% of what I read I checked into and found to be true. My father retired from WDW and confirmed some things, and some of his friends still work there and confirmed other things.

If you have not read the book, I recomend it. I am sure alot of CM's will read it and say "Damn that's true" all through out the book.

Agreed. I'm amazed sometimes when I read some of these "exposes" on Disney some of the ridiculous information that they come up with and claim is true, when just a bit of concrete thinking will expose a lot of it for the half truths or outright lies that much of it is.

I remember reading the book and not being impressed by it at all. Can't tell you specifics, since it's been a while. But I just got done laughing my way through another one recently that was put out about 10 years ago called Inside the Mouse, Work and Play at Disney World, that was written by a group of self-admitted marxist feminists. Such great stories such as one about a woman "sucked into the wake of the Empress Lily and chopped quite in half by the paddle wheel." Of course, this is impossible on so many levels that it's not even funny (e.g., if the boat was even running, the wake would have been pushing out, not in, and the paddles would have been running the wrong way to "chop", merely smacking her back out of the way again. Did it ever actually operate on the water?)

Really laughed when one of them wrote that even though she was married and had kids, she didn't understand the family thing and had such disdain for the concept and everything involved with it, and couldn't understand why Disney promoted it so much.

Some just are much more involved in pushing their issues and agendas to let little things like facts get in the way. hehe

What do you mean you won't smile for the camera?
