Question?

Post by Mommytomjm » Sat Apr 08, 2006 1:23 pm

Hey Guys, it's Bonny, long time no talk to.... does anyone know what the deal was on Wednesday night at MK with the fireworks? Was it for the taping of AFV? I went out and watched it on my patio, the fireworks were just amazing, but really random and squished togehter. It look like they were testing some new types also.

If it was around midnight on Wednesday then yep it was the AFV fireworks going off. Wish I could have seen them, only got to hear them inside. :(

The new years fireworks were rather amazing. I lucked out majorly and got my break 10 min before midnight so of course I watched them from the best place, top of astro. It was amazing to see MK, Epcot, and MGM in syncronization with each other.

Yes, yes unfortunately I saw an article in the Sentinel yesterday how Universal has plans to use the exact same technology as IllumiNATIONS in the means of the video globes.

Granted its not a Disney only technology but still, could they be a little more creative that this and while they're at it, get off their ass and make a "quailty" commercial that doesn't take a shot at Disney? It's a stretch for them but considering "Quality" and "Universal" don't go together, Im not hoping for much.

It's not that I don't like Universal. . .well, yeah it is. But aside from the fact that I work at WDW, I just don't like Universal, service and general feel of the atmosphere sucks to me.

I think that theyr'e still sore over the fact that DisneyMGM Studios opened before their park.

Yes, they definitely rip off disney. The whole universla express thing is an imitation, to bad it doesn't work as good. I got a pass for spiderman at 9:30 AM and it gave me a return time of 4:00. It wasn't that busy, could the passes really be gone that quickly?

They have some cool coasters, but the parks in general are nothing special.

(Is it just me, or does the Cat in the Hat ride music sound really similar to the Mickey's Toontown fair background music?)

Universal Express is COMPLETELY different from Disney's Fastpass now. Now you pay $40.00 (during peak seasons, less during non-peak) for a Universal Express plus pass, which gets you into the express line of every ride one time, with no time restrictions. There are no "fastpass machines." You buy these express tickets at retail outlets.
