Classic.
Like other non-CM's have posted here, I occasionally get that question myself. I have fun with the cheerful answer: "No, ma'am! How can I help you?" It's good for a few more seconds of enjoyable confusion. :D:

It would be a great opportunity to demonstrate your vast knowledge of meteorology. You could start off with a discussion of the different types of clouds, transition to the finer points of inversion layers, offer a ten day forecast and, as a bonus, throw in the latest surf report.
Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Did anyone else notice that "stupidest" is misspelled in the title of this thread?
Like the lead I once had who couldn't spell "competent" yet kept complaining about other leads who weren't competent.

I am curious, has anyone been asked the question: Are you real? as a serious question?

YEP!
while playing chess in the jungle queue, we waited a couple of beats then jumped towards the guest... after tht we weren't only real but we were jerks according to him.
"How many people woke up this morning saying 'I have to do the Jungle Cruise?' yeah, me too, I sat on the edge of my bed crying for half an hour."

Yes. At Revenge of the Mummy, in the temple queue, sometimes I would stand very still, only to move unexpectedly and scare people. Some would say things like "I didn't think he was real".
Guest: "How fast does this go?"
Me: "88 mph"
Guest: "Which row is the least wet?"
Me: "Row 6." (There are only 5 rows in the boat)

I've been asked that at the Emporium and Space Image.
In the DLH lobby, Goofy has been known to stand near the front door and move around like an animatronic and while people would stare at him wondering if he was real, he'd jump at them.

Oh yeah.
Standing in Frontierland in my conductor's costume with sweat dripping off my chin from the heat, a mother and son are trying to find something on the map. I'm too whipped to even say, "Howdy!" and try to help.
"Let's ask him," suggests the son, pointing to me.
"Oh, he's not real," replies mom.
"Sure he is, just ask him!"
"Okay already. Are you real? There, I asked him."
"Well ma'am, I'm real hot, is that good enough for you?"
"EEEEEK!!!"

i have been asked "where is minnie's chicken?" a few times every year.i think they mean a new hybrid of minnie and friends breakfast, goofy's kitchen and mrs. knott's restaurant.
