Guest say and do the darnest things

Ok while some people see these things are stupid. I seem them as cute. Anyone ever have those? I have two.

ONE:
Two guest are in my room, a couple. It's rainy season so we close at 6pm. They go "you guys close early" or something.

Me: yeah we close at 6. But Disneyland closes later.
Them: This isn't Disneyland?
Me: No, this is California Adventure.
Them: What's the difference?
Me: Well, this is the new park and Disneyland is well, disneyland.

(They look at me confused. They slowly realize that they aren't in Disneyland.)

Me: Um...didn't you guys notice that everything was different?
Them: We just thought they changed everything.

Number TWO:

Woman just buys the Twilight Zone dvd set and gives me her card. I look at the back and see a signiture so i swipe it. A second later i see she pulls her ID out. Her, "my id?" I explain to her that by law i can't ask for her ID because she's signed the back. She pointed out how Disneyland did and we chat about that and how she's glad they do for security reasons. So I suggest she put See ID on her card.

ME: Well, if you really wanna make sure they check it write see ID on it
HER: See ID?
Me: Yeah
HER: OK.

On the signing receipt she signs where it says print. and where it says sign she writes CID. I try to explain and she realizes the error and cracks up. "Oh! See ID!".

this is exactly how we should think of guests! most of the time, they aren't actually stupid... they just don't know any better. i always try to keep that in mind when i encounter a difficult guest.
