haha Van, I know his real name! I always thought that was funny when I saw him with that nametag. Heh, let's switch nametags so you can spot those impostersPolar33 wrote:LOL, one of the leads in vending has worn a "Van" nametag for so long that none of the new-hires know him by his real name. He got annoyed by it and is back to his regular nametag.SRT_GB wrote:He ended up wearing MAN several times.
I need a fake nametag. One thing that really annoys me is when people come up to me and address me by my name like they have known me for years. I have a horrible time remembering people to begin with, and these people don't help the situation. A fake nametag would make the imposters easy to spot.
ever been "fired" by a guest?

Okay folks, how many of you think this man deserves to go in front of all of you, just because he's in a hurry?

Okay, how many of you think he should go to the back of the line and wait nicely like all of you did?
<loud applause, cheers, plus a few comments I wish I could have made myself>
Not all guests are stupid -- it just seems that way some days.
If I have time, I subject such guests to a jury of their peers. What I loved doing when a guest was pissed off at me, was to make fun of them, in a 'legal' manner. Pointing out how stupid they were being, or how lame their logic was, etc., but doing it in a way that wasn't blatant.

Oh man! IF ONLY I had the guts to say stuff like that! I get the "I'm going back to Mexico/India/Canada/Idaho tomorrow" line all the time! Congratulations, hope you had a nice time, but until your fastpass actually becomes valid, you're NOT using this queue!
Thing that drives me nuts is people obviously don't "get" how fastpass works. "Why is your fastpass closed?" Because they've all been issued out. "Why did you run out? Why can't we still get one?" Because, numbnuts, if we issued an unlimited number of them, it wouldn't be fast, would it? "I'm going back to Mexico/India/Canada/Idaho tomorrow, can't you help me?" No. Not unless you want to ride separately and go single rider. "No we want to ride together, can't you get us in faster? The standby queue is to your left
Seriously, no one seems to get the connection between a limited quantity of fastpasses and a shorter wait time.
"Why do you only issue a certain number of fastpasses?" Uhhh... so it'll be...........fast?
There are no stupid questions.... only stupid guests.

Damn! End of conversation! If it was such an urgent desire for them, they'd jump at the single rider offer! People can be so spoiled...Morrigoon wrote:"I'm going back to Mexico/India/Canada/Idaho tomorrow, can't you help me?" No. Not unless you want to ride separately and go single rider. When I first started working in attractions I was shocked that people demanded seats in certain places on some rides. In all the years that I had been a guest or worked in merch. it never occurred to me to sit anywhere but other than where the loader placed us. If we happened to get the front or the back we lucked out. I always hated the people in Pirates who would try to reseat themselves when were were running four queues and seating for maximum capacity (22 per boat no matter what) because it was a high attendance day. No matter how nice you'd try to be about explaining that it was currently too busy to accommodate their special request, please come back late at night and we'd give them their very own boat, they'd still be piggy.Dante101 wrote: People can be so spoiled...
