Stop coming in the wrong flippin' entrance!

This is the place to tell us about the stupid things fellow employees can do.

Stop coming in the wrong flippin' entrance!

Post by KingsIslander » Sun May 06, 2012 9:13 pm

My park has a dedicated employee entrance, which is not on the main road as the two guest parking entrances. We allow employees to park in either employee parking or regular parking when they're visiting the park as a guest, but they MUST go through the employee entrance when they're going to work. Apparently, this was not covered in training enough this year. Most of them were fairly nice when we told them that next time they needed to use the employee entrance, but... well... yeah...

Me: Tired, overworked tolls associate
SE: Stupid foods employee
SG: Stupid foods employee's mother

Me: Good morning! *looks in car and sees SE wearing a uniform* I know they might not have told you, but you need to use the employee entrance if you're on your way to work. You can ask your supervisor for directions. It's okay today, but-
SG: DON'T F***ING LECTURE ME! I KNOW MY RIGHTS!
Me: Ma'am, I-
SE: I WORK HERE! YOU'LL DO WHAT I SAY!
Me: Um, I work here too...
SG: WELL, F*** YOU!

They drove off before I could hand his ID back. Can you guess whose supervisor got a call about his behavior? :D:

(Pet peeve of mine: employees being rude. I don't care if you're working or not, if you have your ID out, you need to be polite. Actually, even if you don't have your ID out, you need to be polite. Guess what? Whether you're in uniform or not doesn't matter, you can still be written up for behavior. Ever read the employee guidebook? No? I can tell. :mad :)

Or was promoted to get them out of the department they were currently in.

Parties of 33 should consider dividing their parties into two groups of 16 and a half each.

I have to admit, if I could get away with parking in Mickey and Friends, I would. I hate Katella lot. That said, I wouldn't be rude to any cast member, ever, on duty or off duty.

Our employee parking is actually part of our regular lot. It's actually significantly closer to the main gate and employee gate than guest parking is, so there's *no* reason most employees would want to park in guest parking.

Update: Another email has apparently been sent out clarifying when employees must use the employee entrance, and supposedly we're going to start writing down their ID numbers when they hand us their ID. This is going to be good...
