Dead at 48.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I wonder if her past drug abuse had anything to do with this? :(

Everyone in my age range knew her music and we all wanted to sing like she did! So Very Sad :(

I believe her Mom is Gospel Singer Cissy Houston and her cousin is Dionne Warwick. Aretha Franklin is her Godmother per Wikipedia....

Will it be mean to say that we all know that she probably died from a drug OD? :(

Heard the very sad news on CM shuttle. All gasped. Some cried. I Will Always Love You came on. She was so beautiful. Her talent was beyond fantastic. Her life choices were not. I always had hope she would beat the drugs. I Will Always Love You has been my RB tone for yrs. I shall keep it. Thank you Whitney for your amazing talent. R I P.

Hearing she may have drowned in tub :( could have been seizure/stroke/MI even at her young age and related to her addictions.

It's always sad when talent is lost at such an early age.
