Well, I did it.

Turned out to be a "hey want to go now" trip.

Ended up at the Super 8 as it was the only one that said they had a room that night and would hold it for a 2am checkin.

Sorry I didn't have time to coordinate with y'all on a meetup.

In a nutshell DLR awesome, DCA not so awesome but a great coaster.

But that's Yreka for you. I've driven through there many times. I think I stopped for gas once.

But it's better than Gary, Indiana. And a whole lot prettier, if you don't mind the burning pot smell.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I was with BW when we went trough Gary. Before then all I knew about the town came from that song. Boy, is that town ugly and scary. I got the feeling that if we sat to long at a red light we'd find the wheels replaced with blocks when the light changed green.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

ah, Shorty, sounds much like trying to drive through downtown here...(and I have driven through Gary and yes, it's frightening!)

Well, It was a typical discount chain motel however, the room was clean, the bed appeared to be freshly changed (but it was 2am). Did have free wifi and continental breakfast (donuts, toast, coffee, juice and cereal) from 7 to 9am and was $60. It is not and will never be a resort!

It did the job and I didn't have to fight the crackheads to get to my room. It was also walking distance from the parks.

Nah, that would be what happens on the Cross Bronx Expressway if your car sits in the breakdown lane for more than 5 minutes.
