I have to say, it's not all that jolly hard to insert your own smilies. Let me know if you need me to PM you the instructions.

Heh -- a few years back when my older son was trying to come up with a screen name, he couldn't decide if he was a bigger fan of Disney or Harry Potter. He settled on "VoldyMouse." :D:

As an odd coincidence, my iTunes chose to play Professor Umbridge from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as I read this thread....

Oh,Great and Wise Zazu,I humbly beg your forgiveness :(
You see, I was on my hubby's computer which would take approximately 1/2 hour to load smilies, and I was feeling the need to make my post to look clever. If I were really clever,I'd figure out how to permanently sabotage our ancient computer and force Hubby to get a new one.
Again, I am sorry, and would like to send you a small gift to compensate.
Would you like some 8-track tapes?
Love,
DisneyMom

Many years ago I had an 8-track in my car. I came out one morning to discover someone had broken in to the car and left me ten tapes.

Eh, no big. I was just being grumbly when I posted that.

I may have a couple of technical fixes that would speed up his machine, either free or pretty darn cheap. Contact me by PM with his system's specs.

I not only have a collection of 8-tracks, I still have both a(n uninstalled) car stereo and a standalone player/recorder for same.

They still work fairly well. Open the cases up, dust them out, add some powdered Teflon, and they're good to go again.

Yeah, I have vast experience with obsolete electronics:
