Mobile hotspots in the parks?
Re: Mobile hotspots in the parks?
First 8-track was one of K-tel's compilations with BTO, KC and the Sunshine Band, etc.

The only 8-track that comes to mind that my parents had is Freddy Fender.

When growing up, one of of family's cars had an 8-track player in it. One of my memories of childhood Christmases is listening to the 8-track of Christmas music when we drove anywhere.

I know it was the Fifth Dimension, but I don't remember for sure the name of the album...it might have been a "best of" tape.
I think it had "Up, Up and away" as well as "Marry me Bill" and "One less Bell to answer".
These might not be the actual song titles. I can just barely remember my name, much less something from the 60's.

The 5th Dimension album you had was likely "Age of Aquarius", which I had as a 33 1/3. My mom's first car after she relearned how to drive about a year or so before my parents divorced had an 8 track player in it; it had an 8 track that came with it that was a compilation of pop songs--having a hard time remembering which ones--provided by the dealer.
One time I bought an 8 track player after they were passe', and among the few tapes I bought with it was Simon and Garfunkel, and I hate brainfarts because one was by the guy who sang Lola, (Copacabana).
BTW, the song Wimoweh (The Lion Sleeps Tonight) has an interesting history; look it up sometime, along with the original lyrics.

Of course...Age of Aquarious. How could I have not remembered that. I think the name you are looking for is Barry Manilow.

My car got broken into last year and even though all of my CD's were pulled out and looked through none of them were taken. I guess hoodlums hate showtunes.
Back on topic, I have AT&T and have very few reception problems anywhere.

First 8-track? Probably Moody Blues, "On the Threshold of a Dream".

I am embarrassed to say that my first 8-track was Shaun Cassidy, the tape with "Da Doo Ron Ron" on it...
