A New York man is suing Walt Disney World after his planned marriage proposal at Magic Kingdom was ruined and he was thrown in jail.
According to the lawsuit filed in late September, Marc Rubin, 57, was at the park in July 2015 and planned to propose to his then-girlfriend after the nightly parade in front of the Cinderella castle.

Rubin said he chose an area he wanted to use to propose when a Disney employee, Nicole Guzman-Ortiz, 24, asked him to move. The lawsuit says Rubin refused to move, there was an argument, and Guzman-Ortiz accused him of grabbing the back of her shirt and the front of her shirt collar. Rubin was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery, the lawsuit says. Rubin insists he never touched Guzman-Ortiz and is suing Disney for more than $15,000 in damages for what he says was negligence and false arrest.

“The safety of the people who work in and visit our parks is very important to us. We will respond to the allegations as appropriate in court,” a Disney spokesperson said.

This must be a new policy. The one time I was assaulted by a guest :StrollerAttack: Security talked to them and sent them on their way before they even talked to me. This new policy is good news, if true.
