The YANXWIN family will be doing recon for SGT behavior next week. We usually come up with a few good ones each trip. It's been since July that I've been there and I know I won't be able to sleep the night before. I never do.

You going west (boo, hiss...) or coming east (yay!)?

No pressure.

None at all.

None whatsoever.

We are going west this time. I would love to be heading east. We have done that a couple of times, but it is about 3x as much. We can drive to land, but have to fly to world. We have annual passes to land, but the tickets for world are a little more. Maybe in a couple of years again, unless someone else wants to pay our way. I am open to financial donations.

First, the stupid guest trick of the day. Picture this: an older lady, grandma, no doubt wanting to have fun with a grandson. He is sitting on her lap, or standing, depending on the moment while they both try and drive the "scooter of death" as my wife put it. We finally passed her as we walked under the train tracks leaving land headed for DCA. I didn't think too much of it as we finally got around her and her grandson. 5 minutes later, as we were the next family in line at the DCA turnstiles, I hear behind me, "STOP, STOP, STOP!!!" Then the big crash. The stroller with the sleeping kid and the dad pushing it took most of the blow. I got a glancing hit and the grandson kind of stumbled off the scooter. I know she was trying to be the "fun" grandma, but people, let's think about things a little before letting a 5 year old drive a scooter turned all the way up to high, around ten million people. C'mon folks. Just because we come to disney doesn't mean we leave our brains in the hotel room.

Second one was funnier and has been talked about multiple times in our family since the incident. We were waiting in line for Autopia yesterday about 1:30 pm. All cast members working at this time, you have my sympathies and appreciation, as well as a great story to tell for years to come. As I was on the bridge, I could see this little old lady of foreign descent, along with a man in the passenger seat that looked like he was 150 or so. They were creeping up about 3 feet at a time while the cast member and a person from the couple's party were lovingly coaxing them towards spot number 1. The old man had a earth grip on the handle running across the front of the car and the lady had this look of desperation on her face. After about 3 minutes she got to between spot numbers 1 and 2. It looked like the ordeal was over. Just then, for some reason, she guns it and goes around the corner and keeps going. I told my wife what had happened and we had a good laugh. We finally got staged at our spots to be second in line for a car. Here they come again. My wife and one of my twin daughters was closer to the action this time. They creep, and I mean creep, around the corner and almost get to number 8 and the old man is dying to get out of the car. You can tell he's had it. The lady from their group and a cast member begin the routine again. Now we have a guy from the group trying to talk them through it too. After another 3-5 minutes of watching this, they finally got to between 8 and 7 and gave up. They didn't speak English and they were to their wit''s end. My wife talked to one of the cast members as they were getting out and found out it was their THIRD time around and her foot was so tired from pushing on the gas pedal that she could hardly walk. They had had the same experience each time around and just couldn't get it through their heads how to pull up and stop. What a hilarious event. My kids reenacted it for my sister and her family last night at the hotel. Absolutely awesome.
