Alfred Hitchcock was credited with the following quote concern the sound of a bagpipe.

These are bagpipes. I understand the inventor of the bagpipes was inspired when he saw a man carrying an indignant, asthmatic pig under his arm. Unfortunately, the man-made sound never equaled the purity of the sound achieved by the pig.

Hey. I like bagpipe music.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I didn't say I like all bagpipe music, just as I didn't ever say I like listening to guitar no matter who is playing. For instance, if it was me playing guitar, I would not want to hear it.

I love bagpipe music. We have them every year at our Kirkin' of the Tartans in our church. Even my daughter likes them. She plans to have "Highland Cathedral" played at her wedding some day.

Love the pipes. Hardest instrument to learn how to play. I am great on the practice chanter but still working on getting a bearable sound out of a full set of pipes.

Also love the group Albannach. They take bagpipes and drums to a new level.

If you're sneaky, you can wait until there's nobody watching and go back there yourself. It's to the right of the porch. After viewing the secret graveyard, open the door on the left, step into the closet, wait until the foyer door closes and walk in like you belong there. Works best at night.

Every-time I hear bagpipes, I remember Alfred Hitchcock's quote on Bagpipes:

These are bagpipes. I understand the inventor of the bagpipes was inspired when he saw a man carrying an indignant, asthmatic pig under his arm. Unfortunately, the man-made sound never equaled the purity of the sound achieved by the pig.

Maybe that picture was George Lucas's inspiration for the cantina band in Star Wars.
