What a silly friend you have there. :) Firstly, Mr. Toad is indeed alive and well at Disneyland. Perhaps you should show him pictures of both versions and ask him which one is gone.

Secondly, the ride glorifies reckless driving and apathy towards the safety of others, not drunk driving. Although I can see how the two can be mistaken for the same.

I will do one better and get a picture of myself in front of the ride.
