... after suspicious object found near entrance
From LA Times
Disneyland was locked down Saturday morning after a suspicious object was found near the entrance to the theme park, officials said.
The object was found near a ticket booth just outside the Anaheim park, said Suzi Brown, a spokeswoman for Disneyland Resorts.
Park visitors already inside will remain there, and no other visitors will be allowed inside until the situation is resolved.
"The safety of our guests and cast members is our top priority," Brown said in an emailed statement. "In an abundance of caution and to allow the security teams the opportunity to learn more, we are keeping guests away from the area at this time."
The Orange County bomb squad and Anaheim police are investigating the incident.

This morning my roomies were watching one of these educational shows, and they mentioned geocaching. I agree, while it sounds like a fun activity, those who are running the games need to think about the potential problems involved with placing unknown--to the general public and especially the police force--objects near a public place where there are lots of people. In this post-9/11 world, one needs to remember the genreal paranoia that exists.
